Dubai Airshows

Every two years Dubai Airshow happens. All companies around the world join in this show to show the latest technology in airplanes.  This year 2011 Dubai Airshow was an overwhelming success drawing 56,548 trade visitors from around the world along with 960 exhibitors from 50 countries and 1,452 international and regional media.

As we are students from Abu Dhabi Men’s College, we went there to see airplanes and what  the companies offer for students in the future. One of these companies,  Mubadala, are  nowadays building a new airplane which will protect our environment to keep humans  living in a healthy way. Another one is Strata; it’s a company for building airplane instrumentation and they did many projects such as building some parts for the Airbus A320 and for Boeing airplanes and some army airplanes.

As I’m a student in Aviation Engineering in my first year. I’m so excited to know more about space and technology for use in airplanes. I met with some Emirati students who went to the NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). It was great to meet them and learn from their experience in NASA.

In the afternoon  and because we were so close to National Day, the 40th anniversary of the U.A.E. , the U.A.E. Air Force, started a show for the people in the exhibition displaying the U.A.E. flag colors in the sky. This was a really great show between.  While watching the U.A.E. show I took many pictures, to keep as a memento for me of this show forever.

I’m sure that all students who went to this show will never forget it, and they will think about it again and again to come to this place where they can see their future.

India is the largest country in South Asia and the seventh biggest country in the world. In addition, it’s a huge and old country. India is a land dotted with agricultural places and magnificent temples. India has many islands such as, Andaman, Nicobar and Lak Shad Weep Islands in the Indian Ocean. Furthermore, on the land, India has borders with other countries like: Pakistan, Nepal, China and Bangladesh.

India is a very rich country in culture because it comes from different countries and languages. The population in India is a very huge number and it’s around one billion.

Delhi is the capital of India and that is divided into two parts: the old city is Delhi and the modern city of New Delhi is the third largest city in India, after Calcutta and Mumbai.

Indian Flag

The India flag has three horizontal stripes in orange, white, green and there is a dark blue wheel in the middle of the flag. Each part of the flag has a special meaning. In addition, included in the wheel in the middle of the flag is an old Buddhist symbol.

Religions play an important part for Indian people. There are many religions there, such as, Hindus, Muslims, Christians and others.
This chart shows the number of people for each religion. Furthermore, Hinduism is the highest religion in Indian and there are more than 800,000,000 people who are following that religion in India.

Tourist places

India is a huge country, and there are so many places to visit and a fantastic sights to see like:
  • Red Fort
The Red Fort in Delhi was built by Shah Jahan in 1638. It has huge, red sandstone walls. Also, it has a beautiful a sound and light show in the evening.
  • Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan in memory of his wife. He wanted it to be the most wonderful building in the world. It took 20 years to build that with thousands of workers.
  • Golden Temple
The Golden Temple in Amritsar, is for the Sikh religion. The temple has been broken and rebuilt many times. The Golden Temple is surrounded by the lake. So it shines like a gold sun in the lake.

There are hundreds of festivals and holidays in India. That is because it has many religions and each one has his own celebration and holiday. There is also a national holiday on  26 January for all people in India.
In addition, it has many celebrations for each religion. For example: Ramadan is the most important festival for Muslims and that happens every year. It is only one month fasting without eating and drinking.
Also, Holi is the Hindu festival that marks the beginning of spring in March or April.
In my conclusion, I think India will become a famous country among the biggest countries in the world in a few years. Indian people work so hard, never stopping, just like a river.
